Chris Coates - Managing Partner
Bio:
Mr. Coates is a healthcare executive with nearly three decades of leadership experience in physician enterprises, medical imaging, and healthcare operations. His work has focused on strengthening the financial and operational performance of physician led organizations, with an emphasis on fiscal stewardship, responsible strategic growth, and long term organizational stability.
Over the course of his career, he has guided organizations through financial improvement efforts, mergers and integrations, growth initiatives, technology modernization, and complex healthcare partnerships. His approach emphasizes practical execution, operational consistency, and alignment between clinical priorities and financial performance. He has also helped launch and support initiatives designed to expand access to care, including nonprofit community health programs, operational partnerships, and technology collaborations aimed at improving clinical workflow and organizational effectiveness.
As Chief Executive Officer of TRA Medical Imaging, Mr. Coates leads one of the nation’s largest independently physician owned radiology practices, overseeing a multi site imaging enterprise that serves hospitals, clinics, and communities across the greater Seattle Tacoma region. Under his leadership, the organization generates nearly $200 million in combined annual revenue and employs more than 500 employees, including 135 physicians.
Mr. Coates is a graduate of Washington State University’s Carson College of Business, where he earned degrees in Accounting and Finance.
